The full-length sophomore release from acoustic artist Michael Miles, featuring 10 improvisational instrumentals and 1 bonus instrumental track. If you’ve ever been looking for a soothing acoustic CD to throw in the player at the end of a hard day, this is the one you’ve been looking for.
TRANQUILITY was recorded in a series of single takes over a five hour time frame of experimental improvisational playing. Among the three hours of material ten tracks were selected. Each track was created live and on the fly without any previous rehearsal or development with the exception of track 11, “Cat Nap”. “Cat Nap” is an instrumental piece that features an experiment using two very organic sounds and using them as a gentle rhythm loop—the soothing sound of a fire place crackling and a cat’s purr.
